Are there limitations on the use of external synchronization using the EXT_SYNC signal?

The Tau2 requires that EXT_SYNC pulses are continuous, and arrive at a consistent frame rate (isochronous). A flat-field correction (FFC) must be done at the desired frame rate for correct operation. If the frame rate changes, then the image will have poor quality.
